NewVista Health and Wellness owns and operates state of the art behavioral health hospitals in Central and Southern Ohio. NewVista is currently seeking a medical billing professional to fill the full time position of Self Pay Collector for our home office, located in the Blue Ash area of Cincinnati, OH. The Self Pay Collector is responsible for the the customer service and collection activities for our Behavioral Health Hospitals and Lynx, our associated ambulance service.

Job responsibilities of the Self Pay Collector include:

• Handles all incoming calls from patients.
• Is responsible for the customer service and collection activities for the hospitals and ambulance service.
• Makes collection calls in a professional manner while improving customer relationships with each location.
• Collects balances, arrangement payments and settlements as well as review discount qualifications.
• Reviewing open accounts for missing insurance information and aging for external collection agency.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of medical billing experience required.
• Candidates must be able to work with high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer skills required to operate practice management system (i.e., use Windows operating system, conduct Internet searches, communicate by email, etc.)
