Kimberley Welk and Associates LLC Family Therapy Center (KWAFTC) is currently seeking an energetic, passionate, and ambitious resident therapist to take part in our out-patient and school-based therapy programs. Key job functions are to provide diagnostic assessments and therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and families within an out-patient and school-based setting. School based services require friendly individuals who are able to collaborate with school staff, including administrators and counselors. This position is funded through Medicaid, private insurance and private pay. This is a year-round position with before and after school hours that can be flexed during the summer. School year hours of operation to be determined in conjunction with the school district. This job can require travel.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves individuals and families ages 5 years and up from a systemic viewpoint
  • Services include individual, group and family psychotherapy, individualized treatment planning, emotional and behavioral support, crisis intervention, and non-school day activities.
  • Must work closely with school personnel, the client’s physician, other clinical staff and community agencies.
  • Develop transition and discharge planning
  • Complete all required clinical documentation
  • Utilize evidence-based theory and best practices in planning counseling sessions, activities, and interventions.
  • Regularly attend general staff meetings to update staff with cases and provided clinical supervision and collaboration

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a related field (LPC, LMFT or LCSW)
  • WI training license in counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work
  • Sound analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be flexible and have excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of best practices and evidence-based theory
  • Meet deadlines and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High level of detail and accuracy

  • Team oriented

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
KWAFTC follows CDC guidelines requiring a mask during in-person sessions. Telehealth sessions are an option for clients as well. All clinic staff eligible for vaccination have received vaccination. Those not eligible temperature screen daily.
