This position is located in the Cardiac Rehab Department, a very upbeat and inspiring department comprised of very positive care providers who work well as a team. This position Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Current NM RN licensure or appropriate compact licensure.

Must have current BLS upon hire. ACLS must be obtained within six (6) months of hire or transfer into position.

New hires will have ninety (90) days from date of hire to obtain American Heart Association
certifications. Notwithstanding this ‘grace period’ for obtaining American Heart Association
certifications, employees are not excused from being current in any and all existing certifications
that are required for their position as outlined in the position job description.
