Job Description

The Lube and Tire Technician is expected to:

· Perform all lube, oil, filter and multi-point inspection processes to ensure proper diagnoses.

· Assess any supplemental vehicle needs.

· Perform quality service at all times and notify management of any substandard processes, parts or procedures.

· Maintain clean vehicles during all servicing and repairs.

· Achieve customer service satisfaction through prompt and accurate service and communication.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times and adhere to all OSHA/EPA requirements.

· Perform all job duties requested by management.

· Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards.

· Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions.

· Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules.

· Attends all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or GED required.

· Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience

· One year of dealer-level or large facility experience preferred.

· ASE certification (or is willing to obtain certification)

· Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge

· Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record

· Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.

· Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.

· Highly professional and dependable

· Safety and customer service oriented

· Basic computer and internet skills

· Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.

$1000 Signing Bonus. The bonus will be awarded when the individual has completed at least 10 weeks of work with employer. This bonus will be paid by the employer.

$2000 Return-to-Work Bonus. In order to qualify for the State of Arizona Return-to-Work bonus, an individual must have already filed for unemployment benefits prior to May 13, 2021. Arizonans filing for unemployment benefits after May 13 will not be eligible for Return-to-Work bonus. The individual must also make $25 per hour or less, equivalent to a yearly salary of $52,000, at their new job and must begin working by Labor Day — Monday, September 6. Qualifying individuals may accept a job with an employer immediately to qualify for the bonus. The bonus will be awarded when the individual has stopped filing for unemployment benefits and completed at least 10 weeks of work with an employer, and will be offered on a first come, first-serve basis. This bonus will be paid by the state, not the employer.
