Senior Manager, Physician Revenue Cycle, Operational Excellence – Remote

Overview of Position

The Senior Manager of Operational Excellence is a newly created role within Change Healthcare’s Physician Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Services business unit, which provides outsourced, end-to-end RCM services to independent and employed ambulatory provider organizations. As a member of the Operational Excellence team, the Senior Manager will contribute to business strategy focused in accelerating new customer growth, improving operations efficiency and ensuring customer value. The Senior Manager will be responsible for leading initiatives through the complete project lifecycle, including opportunity identification and hypothesis formation, validation and analysis, solution design and recommendation, execution and change management and value realization. This role will collaborate with a matrixed team of stakeholders including Sales and Marketing, Client Management, Operations, Finance, People and Talent and Technology shared services. The Senior Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Operational Excellence. This is a remote/telecommuter position.


What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Design, lead and execute operational excellence projects, including process design and standardization, workflow automation, technology adoption and integration and offshore/outsourcing partnership assessments
  • Participate in the development of business strategy for the Physician RCM Services operating unit, focused on new and existing customer growth, improved operations efficiency and increased customer value creation
  • Partner with FP&A team to develop project ROI analyses and incorporate program savings and impact assumptions into P&L forecast and budget models
  • Partner with Analytics team to design and implement reporting and analyses to identify areas of opportunity and track and measure the financial and operational impact of operational excellence
  • Develop presentations and report-outs of operational excellence strategy, initiative proposals and project performance to Executive- and Senior-Leadership Team stakeholders
  • Participate in ad hoc programs and initiatives at the request of the VP of Operational Excellence


What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 5-8 years of experience, preferably in management consulting, corporate strategy or operational excellence
  • High business and analytical acumen; comfort using data and metrics to diagnose root cause drivers of operational performance and prescribe specific improvement plans
  • Demonstrated ability delivering business results in a matrixed organization, partnering with a broad mix of functional stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, across multiple stakeholders; judgement to effectively prioritize and allocate resources across competing programs to maximize impact and benefit
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key financial concepts, including return on investment (ROI) and unit economics
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
