Housekeeper-Customer Care Representative – UAMS Medical Center – Fayetteville, AR

Located in Northwest Arkansas

The Housekeeper / Customer Care Representative is responsible for general cleaning areas in academic, research, and patient care (in-patient and out-patient) on the UAMS Northwest Campus. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Under supervision and in accordance with established schedules, procedures and safety standards, performs housekeeping and service duties necessary to maintain the facility buildings in an orderly, safe, sanitary and attractive condition.

Salary: $14/hour

Responsibilities:

• Empty waste receptacles and replaces waste liners.
• Sweeps, mops, and buffs floors
• Vacuums and shampoos rugs
• Strips and refinishes floors, as needed.
• Cleans bathroom basins, fixtures, mirrors, stall doors, toilets, showers, vents, and stocks bathroom with soap, toilet tissue, and paper towels.
• Clean areas requiring special cleaning methods (Patient beds, exam tables, IV poles, wheelchairs, carts, and surgical lighting) by use of specific cleansers, sterilized equipment, and/or disposing of contaminated wastes.
• Collects and sends dirty linens and towels to laundry.
• Disposal and transport solid waste.
• Clean vertical and horizontal surfaces (Seating, table-tops, desk, sinks, doors, dispensers, water fountains, vents, bedside tables, IV poles, light switches, floors, walls, windows, etc.).
• Clean restrooms (faucets, sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, stall partitions, receptacles, etc.)
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma/GED

Preferred Qualification:

• Two (2) or more years of housekeeping/janitorial experience
