Territory Sales Manager – USAgain – West Chicago, IL

Territory Manager Job Summary:

Sell textile recycling collection services to educational, retail, commercial, and municipal business opportunities. Develop and maintain relationships with new and current client accounts in specified market areas, focusing on customer satisfaction, quality of revenue, bringing in new business as well as selling within customer base in the West Chicago area.

This positions territory will be centered around West Chicago IL, and the surrounding areas (as far West as Dekalb, as far South as Bloomington, as far East as the lakeshore, a small area of Indiana, and as far North as Milwaukee/Madison). This position does require driving into the West Chicago office once a week.

Salary: $45,000-55,000k Base Salary + Commission and Benefits

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Sign up school districts and individual schools to participate in our GREEN fundraising program
  • Sign up retailers and municipal sites to host collection bins within the territory
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with territory accounts through periodic personal follow up, proactive customer service, prompt attention, and resolution to concerns or issues and timely contract updates
  • Increase collection by adding bins to sites where needed
  • Retain existing territory accounts through personal contact, proactive customer surveys and contract updates
  • Sell and manage all business within the territory where opportunities are present
  • Conduct effective sales presentations by emphasizing environmental impact and need for textile recycling services
  • Utilize negotiation skills to close the sale and secure the contract
  • Prepare contracts and renewals with terms and services
  • Manage customer contracts, correspondence, administration, etc.
  • Complete account status reporting requirements accurately and timely
  • Achieve net budget sales, customer acquisition, and retention goals
  • Follow up on commitments with customers to ensure 100% satisfaction
  • Execute the sales and overall goals of the division as directed by management
  • Attendance at Division and Company meetings and events as required

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in business, marketing or related area preferred, but not required
  • 2+ years of experience working with or selling to schools/PTAs perferred
  • Industry experience preferred
  • Effective communication skills with customers
  • Knowledge of sales concepts, methods, and techniques
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Self-starter, able to take the initiative and provide results; proactive approach with customers
  • Able to adapt to a dynamic work environment
  • Able to multi-task through balancing individual and team responsibilities
  • Works with integrity, enthusiasm, and creativity
  • Driven by a commitment to success through aligning work priorities with strategic goals and opportunities
  • Uses effective time management and organizational skills
