Social Worker – BSW – Weirton Medical Center – Weirton, WV

Shares responsibility with other professional disciplines for assessing and meeting the psycho-social needs of patients and families in the acute care and long term care settings. The social worker serves as a liaison with community resources and agencies to maximize the patient’s/family’s adjustment and/or recovery.

Four year college degree in social work or related field. L.S.W. in the state of West Virginia required. Minimum of a BS in Social Work required; Masters Degree in Social Work preferred.

One year experience in acute care medical social work services preferred. Knowledge of local community resources preferred.
