This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Assist in Breeder Department Functions as assigned including but not limited to:

• • Catching/Vaccinating Pullets
  • Implementing the Rodent Control Program including on farm bait application
  • Pullet water vaccine administration
  • Weighing pullets and breeders
  • Pulling and submitting routine blood and fat samples
  • Assist Breeder Techs and Farm Supervisor with various tasks
  • Loading and unloading pullets using a forklift

Must be able to obtain a Tyson Driver’s License and Forklift License.

Must be willing to work in all weather conditions, reach above shoulder level and be willing to stand 8- 10 hours a day. Must be willing to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly. Must be willing to climb up and down stairs to get to from the work areas. Must wear PPE, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net and beard guard. This facility may run 6-7 days a week, Monday-Friday, Saturdays and Sundays as necessary. Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules. This also includes removing birds, making minor equipment repairs and adjustments, cutting grass, will be trained to handle and euthanize chickens. Cannot have other poultry at home.
