IT Network Engineer – Proliance Surgeons – Seattle, WA

Position Summary

Proliance Surgeons is one of the largest surgical practices in the country, with over 425 providers including over 250 board-certified physicians providing treatment at more than 100 care centers in Washington State. Our range of specialties includes orthopedics, sports medicine, spine, ear nose & throat, general surgery, ophthalmology, obstetrics & gynecology, urology and more.

The Central Service Office, in downtown Seattle, is looking for a IT Network Engineer to join our team.

Position Summary

The IT Network Engineer position at Proliance will play a key role in providing day to day support and troubleshooting customer problems. This individual has the attention to detail required to ensure systems are in place to provide a secure environment and ensure maximum uptime and support for both our own teams and our customers. This individual knows when something is not configured right. This individual uses industry knowledge to not only suggest best practices but to also put them into order.

When this individual is faced with a difficult task when they are entering the element of the unknown, they have the experience to ask the right questions and get the job done. This position is responsible for ensuring there is no stone left un-turned when it comes to properly securing an enterprise network.

You are a self-starter and takes initiative. You have the natural curiosity to identify, investigate and solve problems. You are also able to juggle seeing both the internal security of Proliance and our customers. This role is an ultimate team player in rolling up your sleeves and providing additional support to team members. You work collaboratively to create and maintain a strong security culture with a human centered design in mind to achieve goals without sacrificing security.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Experience with many aspects of IT infrastructure including network equipment, network servers, network services
  • Hands on experience with communication and routing protocols; OSPF, BGP, DNS, TCP/IP, IPSEC, 802.1x
  • Experienced with SolarWinds NPM in monitoring or troubleshooting devices
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of network equipment, wireless systems, firewalls
  • Experienced in switching and routing to include troubleshooting issues within the equipment
  • Experienced or working knowledge in building and testing Cisco IPsec VPN tunnels
  • Provide Visio documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
  • Work with Care Centers, Vendors, IT teams and IT management on problem resolution, short and long-term planning
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners in resolving problem, evaluation of technology and solutions, pricing and maintain close relationship for maintenance and support
  • Lead and collaborate with others on incident response for issues and end point devices
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Qualities

  • Experienced in working with Cisco Switching and Routing
  • Experienced in working with scripting or CLI
  • Experienced and working knowledge of Cisco ISE
  • Experienced with Cisco ASR, ISR and Nexus 9000
  • Experienced in designing and building Cisco IPsec VPN tunnels
  • Working experience with Meraki Wireless and setup
  • Working experience with Cisco AnyConnect
  • Working experience with Cloud architecture a plus
  • Demonstrated strong ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated strong ability to understand and apply security for Network appliances
  • Excellent Communication and Project Management skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple conflicting deadlines and competing priorities
  • 7 + years of relevant work experience in Information Technology
  • 4+ years Network Engineering or similar roles

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, other technology related field. An equivalent of this educational requirements in working experience is also acceptable:
  • Network Engineering and Cisco Certifications, or other network related fields are a plus

Work Environment

  • Some travel to data center and care centers may be required
  • Some off-hour work may be required
  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours

Pay: $90,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
