Lees Marketplace is looking for a positive, outgoing and reliable applicant to join their team as a part time Produce Clerk. As a Produce Clerk you will learn how to properly stock and rotate the produce items, care for a wide variety of products and learn the different ways to utilize the products the produce provides. You will be responsible for assisting with the overall operations of the produce department under the direction and guidance of the Produce Manager while providing excellent customer service to our guests and fellow team members. - Develop maximum customer relations through a friendly and courteous behavior.

- Continually strives to build knowledge and skills, both personally and within the department and store through training and education of self and other team members.
- Attends departmental, store and company meetings as required; contributes to profits and revenues and meets productivity standards.
- Help maintain effective control of department inventory by guarding against waste and pilferage and keeping in line with established budgets and guidelines.
- Help maintain adequate supplies for the department, i.e., produce bags, trays, shrink film, labels, etc.
- Seeks and maintains a good knowledge of the many varieties of produce products and becomes capable of assisting guests with their inquiries in a prompt and friendly manner.
- Assists with receiving and displaying merchandise efficiently and promptly.

- Experience: None
- Minimum Age: 18 Years of age.
- Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift 30+ pounds
- Equipment: Pallet Jack, produce cart, knives.
- Physical Abilities: Regularly required to walk, stand, sit, twist, and bend; repetitive use of hands and arms to push, pull, carry, lift, reach, grip and balance; occasionally stoop, crouch, kneel or crawl. Lifting may include floor to shoulder and overhead lifting. Occasional use and climbing of step stools or ladders required.
- Communication: Ability to write, speak, hear and understand the spoken word in order to respond promptly to pages, requests, team members and guests. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.
High School diploma or GED; or related job experience and/or training are required.
