Position Description:
As an Automation Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
- Design and draft electrical pneumatic schematics and diagrams
- Develop and maintain Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems
- Develop and maintain Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems
- Design and draft electrical panel layouts for automation equipment
- Maintain an inventory of electrical components utilized in automation control systems
- Support mechanical design engineers with R&D control systems
- Provide detailed machine operation instructions
- Develop and maintain a software lifecycle in a regulated environment
- Support automated equipment in production
Position Requirements:
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
- Experience in electrical and pneumatic schematic design
- Experience in HMI and PLC programming
- Understanding of electrical assembly and wiring
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards
- Willingness to learn and grow
Preferred:
- 4 year degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Experience in PLC ladder logic programming
