Position Description:

As an Automation Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Design and draft electrical pneumatic schematics and diagrams
  • Develop and maintain Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems
  • Develop and maintain Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems
  • Design and draft electrical panel layouts for automation equipment
  • Maintain an inventory of electrical components utilized in automation control systems
  • Support mechanical design engineers with R&D control systems
  • Provide detailed machine operation instructions
  • Develop and maintain a software lifecycle in a regulated environment
  • Support automated equipment in production

Position Requirements:

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience in electrical and pneumatic schematic design
  • Experience in HMI and PLC programming
  • Understanding of electrical assembly and wiring
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards
  • Willingness to learn and grow

Preferred:

  • 4 year degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Experience in PLC ladder logic programming
