Registered Nurse Manager – Field Supervisor – Arcadia New England Home Care – Attleboro, MA

Arcadia New England is immediately hiring part-time, per diem Registered Nurse Field Supervisors throughout Southeastern, Central Northern Massachusetts.

The RN is responsible for supervising home care field employees and the patient/client’s health and wellness as indicated by the individual plan of care. This is a field-based position, not facility based, where the RN Field Supervisor provides professional nursing oversight to the client and caregiver in the home as prescribed by the plan of care and in compliance with regulations as established by the Massachusetts State Board of Nursing, and the policies of the company and applicable referral sources. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Directly supervises all caregiver field staff cases in accordance with the plan of care, including implementing and evaluating care plans, performing observations and insurance assessments.
  • Ensures all pertinent patient data is accurate and complete and documents all aspects of observations and supervisions in accordance with applicable regulations and company policy, as directed by coordinator.
  • Works collaboratively with scheduling, billing and quality departments to ensure all home care services are in compliance will all regulatory and agency guidelines.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of home care processes and all specialty programs in all communications with referral sources and health care partners.
  • Utilizes all available information and resources to promote quality care and the achievement of patient goals and outcomes. Coach/teach/mentor field staff when appropriate, including how to safely and thoroughly care for the client and self-care techniques as appropriate.
  • Observes the client for changes in health condition and reports these changes to the emergency contact, case manager and appropriate supervisory personnel.
  • Provides instructions to caregivers on disease process, medication, diet, safety and other instructions as ordered by the plan of care and recognizes and utilizes opportunities for health counseling with clients and families/caregivers.
  • Supports caregivers by communicating caregiver needs to regional office manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Currently a licensed RN through the Massachusetts State Board of Nursing.
  • At least one (1) year’s general nursing experience in a clinical area, home care supervisory and assessment experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, computer and customer service skills.
