Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Attend initial training as required to be prepared for the assignment at Target Field
- Be aware of the potential threats to Target Field and the guests who attend games here, including current threats to sports venues and crowded public events, basic terrorism awareness, and responses to actual or perceived threats
- Provide a safe and secure environment on Target Field property for the well-being of everyone
- Conduct Security screening of guests, employees, and personal possessions entering Target Field
- Utilize walk-thru metal detectors and handheld metal detectors as part of the Security screening process
- Respond to calls for service on Target Field property, including disruptive, intoxicated, and/or uncooperative guests
- Respond to medical calls and provide assistance to Medical Responders as requested
- Complete incident reports as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in Law Enforcement, Probation, or Corrections
- Basic understanding of the elements of State criminal code
- Ability to physically confront, restrain, and/or detain unruly individuals
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Must be able to work a minimum of thirty-five (35) events each year
- Ability to handle and resolve issues and/or conflicts in an effective, calm manner
- Ability to act with urgency in emergency situations
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time
- Ability to walk stairs repeatedly during shift
- Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility
- Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
- Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling
