Due to recent expansion, the Gurley Leep Automotive Group, a family owned, 24+ location Midwest dealership group is looking for an experienced Automotive Parts Manager that wants the opportunity to advance in the Northern Chicago region!
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Automotive Parts Manager at our newest location: Toyota on Edens in Northbrook, IL. The perfect candidate will have a minimum of 3 year track record in automotive parts management demonstrating integrity, leadership, and the ability to get results.
Automotive Parts Manager Responsibilities and Duties
- Assists and directs all department personnel
- Assists all customers (retail and wholesale) and technicians in selecting parts in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner
- Answering phone calls and providing necessary service
- Manage special order parts and ensure aging is under control
- Running daily, weekly, and monthly reports for sales, gross, aging inventory, phase in/out, lost sales, and factory parts return.
- Manages wholesale accounts, maintains customer relationship
- Run monthly specials and promotions to help accelerate sales
- Makes sure all internal parts are billed on service repair orders.
- Locate out of stock parts for same day delivery when needed
- Responsible for department staff performance and disciplinary actions
- This position works closely with the Service Manager daily to continue to grow fixed operations
Parts Manager Qualifications and Skills
- 3 years of dealership parts experience required
- Dealertrack and Xtime experience is a plus
- Strong leadership, team building and people skills are a must
- Valid driver’s license
