We are a private practice seeking a Full time/Part time, caring, compassionate optical assistant for our location. Candidate must be personable, dependable, organized and able to work flexible hours including some weekends. Optical experience a plus. Salary based on experience; will be discussed upon interview. Job description includes pretesting patients, billing insurances, assisting patients with the purchase of contact lenses/glasses, notifying patients when orders are ready for pickup, and performing simple book keeping such as collecting balances/copays. Other duties for this position includes light cleaning, faxing, making copies, answering phones/scheduling appointments, doing recalls, verifying vision insurances, preparing patients medical records, scanning, and entering data in the office system.
