Immediate opening for experienced MA in busy Dermatology practice, with Friday afternoons off!
We are looking for an energetic Medical Assistant with excellent patient interaction skills. The ideal candidate will have EMA and Mohs dermatology experience and be able to perform the following duties:
- Dermatology experience required
- Assist in Mohs surgery, biopsies, patient exams and treatment of patients
- Scribing experience
- Room patients
- Obtain information from the patient such as history chief complaint, vital signs, and other pertinent data then record all information into EMR
- Ensure the patient understands treatment, prescriptions, and any follow up instructions
- Prescription refill requests, prior authorizations
- Instrument sterilization and packaging
- Demonstrate flexibility in accepting alternative assignments and projects when asked.
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Ability to uphold the highest level of professionalism at all times, both internally and externally
Professional appearance and mature attitude
Ability to maintain a calm demeanor
Problem solving abilities
Multi-tasking is a key priority
Minimum 1-2 year experience in a Dermatology office setting working as a Medical Assistant
