Truck Driver Class A – MaxLife Industries – Salisbury, NC

MaxLife Industries is a North Carolina-based manufacturer of high-performance building enclosure products for the commercial high-rise, mid-rise, low-rise, and multifamily markets. Our innovative products have quickly become key design and structural components in new construction and renovation projects for hospitals, gyms, office buildings, storage facilities, multifamily and mixed-use developments, municipal buildings and many others across the country.

To support our business’ tremendous growth and new market opportunities, we are seeking a full-time hourly Truck Driver at our new Salisbury, North Carolina manufacturing plant location. We have one Tractor, a Dry Van trailer, and a Flatbed trailer that are used to transport our products and other materials locally. This position is ideal for someone with a few years of experience that is looking to drive trucks locally and be home every night! We’re looking for someone to help us grow and contribute to our team atmosphere.

Job Responsibilities:

· Transport finished goods and raw materials via Tractor and Dry Van or Flatbed.

· Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.

· Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.

· Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.

· Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.

· Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.

· Collect and verify delivery instructions.

· Report defects, accidents or violations.

· Assist in the loading and unloading of the company’s vehicles.

· Call Customers while on the way to jobsite deliveries to coordinate unloading.

· Speak with Vendors while on the way to supplier pickups to coordinate loading.

· Maintain customer and vendor paperwork to ensure accurate accounting of goods shipped and received.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Class A commercial driver’s license.

· Professional communications via phone and email.

· Minimum three years of experience in similar role.

Work Hours:

Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm with one-hour lunch break daily.
