Maize Analytics technology identifies non-compliant or risky behavior within the systems to which SecureLink currently controls access. This creates a holistic solution for the highest risk areas in regulated industries, whether it be medical records in healthcare, mission critical industrial control systems in utilities and manufacturing, or sensitive data such as citizen or criminal records in state and local government.
What You’ll Do
The Technical Operations team at Maize is involved in the development and support of data, infrastructure, tools, and services that ensure the efficient operation of our company’s core products. We are currently seeking an experienced developer to join this team and to participate in the continuing effort to mature our backend processes and build software that empowers the rest of the development team.
TechOps devs at Maize work on a variety of projects, including data preparation and evaluation tools, a data stream processing application, task workflow orchestration, and cloud infrastructure deployment. They are a small team of active and curious coders who program in Python, Bash, and Go and who like to get their hands dirty in AWS. Day to day responsibilities include:
- Automating processes to support the operation of the company’s products, including:
- Data ingestion, evaluation, and preparation
- ETL orchestration
- Cloud infrastructure deployment
- Updating cloud stack to optimize performance and increase security
- Maintaining virtual machine builds
- Monitoring application errors and performance
- Developing data integration and other internal tools as needed to support products and technical staff
What You’ll Need
- Proficiency in at least 1 scripting language
- Linux/Unix command line
- Web development principles
- Virtual machine provisioning and automation
- Fundamental networking principles
- Configuring cloud services
- Knowledge of SQL
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills
