PHYSICAL THERAPY AIDE
Organizational Relationships
1. Reports to staff physical therapist for care, clinical and maintenance responsibilities.
2. Coordinates patient care with members of other departments and with other staff within physical therapy department.
Job Summary
The physical therapy aide assists the physical therapy with patient related activities and with direct patient care.
Duties
1. Assist patients as scheduled to treatment area.
2. Prepares patients for treatment.
3. Assists with treatment as directed by the physical therapist.
4. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the treatment area.
5. Participates in department meetings and in center meetings as appropriate.
6. Maintains inventory of physical therapy equipment and supplies.
7. Records treatments per department procedure.
8. Records treatment charges per department procedure.
9. Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications
1. High school graduate.
2. Able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing. Spanish is preferred but not required.
3. Completion of on-the-job orientation and training program as physical therapy aide.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
