Educational and/or Professional Qualifications: Current RN License
Required Certification, Registration, License: Licensed through the State of Louisiana or Privilege to Practice with license in primary state of residence. CPR Required; ACLS certification within one year of employment.
Experience: 1 year clinical nursing experience preferred.
Special Skills/Knowledge: Current knowledge of clinical practice. Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written. Knowledge of theory, principles, techniques, and practice of professional nursing; of scientific principles and nursing research; of preparation, administration and actions of medications; of treatments and medical procedures; of counseling and teaching techniques. Ability to supervise ancillary workers
Equipment and Materials Knowledge: Medical equipment as it relates to patient care; Computer equipment needed for assigned duties; safety equipment.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift using proper body mechanics.
