Ready Mix Concrete Driver (CDL B) – Cranesville Block – Amsterdam, NY

Drivers will be responsible for the safe operation of company mixer trucks, to include loading, unloading,
and cleaning (includes barrel chipping if qualified).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

Deliver quality product to the customer in efficient, timely and professional manner.

Drives truck under loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water and starts mixer.

Drives truck to location for unloading.

Moves levers on truck to release concrete down truck chute into wheelbarrow or other conveying container
or directly into area to be poured with concrete.

Cleans truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck.

Sprays surfaces of truck with protective compound to prevent adhering of concrete.

Assembles cement chute.

Traveling to other plant locations.

Misc. projects – helping around the yard as needed.

May operate loader.

Work with in all safety procedures.

Comply with all company policies.

DVIR’s daily and Log books.

Complete delivery ticket with necessary information.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Preferably driven off-road equipment, log truck, concrete mixer and/or boom truck.
Education and Experience:
Six months – One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure
manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers
or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these
operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Able to
deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
Must have a valid CDL – clean license
DOT Medical Card current while employed.
