Antech Diagnostics
, the largest exclusively commercial veterinary diagnostic laboratory in the nation, is in search of a Cleaning Personnel working out of our Lake Success, New York Laboratory and reporting directly to the Lab Manager.


Full Time: Sunday, Tuesday – Friday (4:00AM – 12:30PM)

Our diagnostic spectrum of tests in the areas of chemistry, pathology, endocrinology, serology, hematology, and microbiology enhance veterinarians’ ability to detect, diagnose, evaluate and prevent disease and other conditions affecting animals.

Responsibilities:

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Worker. Participate in Warehouse operations activities. Responsible for various support activities, including maintaining supply inventory, cleaning, supply shipping and receiving, and other related duties.

  • Work under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment.
  • Consult with senior peers on non-complex tasks to learn through experience.
  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
  • Applies job skills and lab policies and procedures to complete a variety of tasks.
  • Checks all trash containers within the departments when assigned.
  • Assists other lab personnel when necessary.
  • Reads, understands and follows applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), including safety and quality procedures. Maintains clean and organized work area. Restocks supplies as needed.
  • Applies job skills and lab policies and procedures to complete a variety of tasks.
  • Responsible for properly storing hazardous chemicals and perishables in refrigerators and freezers according to Manufacturer guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Capable of standing continuously for up to 2 hours
  • Extend and reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, stoop, or crouch
  • May be required to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Hearing ability to effectively communicate via the telephone and in person
  • Ability to communicate verbally on the phone and in person
  • Fluency in the English language
  • Extended hours may be needed
  • Attention to detail
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
