Antech Diagnostics, the largest exclusively commercial veterinary diagnostic laboratory in the nation, is in search of a Cleaning Personnel working out of our Lake Success, New York Laboratory and reporting directly to the Lab Manager.
Full Time: Sunday, Tuesday – Friday (4:00AM – 12:30PM)

Responsibilities:
We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Worker. Participate in Warehouse operations activities. Responsible for various support activities, including maintaining supply inventory, cleaning, supply shipping and receiving, and other related duties.
- Work under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment.
- Consult with senior peers on non-complex tasks to learn through experience.
- Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
- Applies job skills and lab policies and procedures to complete a variety of tasks.
- Checks all trash containers within the departments when assigned.
- Assists other lab personnel when necessary.
- Reads, understands and follows applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), including safety and quality procedures. Maintains clean and organized work area. Restocks supplies as needed.
- Applies job skills and lab policies and procedures to complete a variety of tasks.
- Responsible for properly storing hazardous chemicals and perishables in refrigerators and freezers according to Manufacturer guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Capable of standing continuously for up to 2 hours
- Extend and reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers
- Occasionally required to bend, kneel, stoop, or crouch
- May be required to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing ability to effectively communicate via the telephone and in person
- Ability to communicate verbally on the phone and in person
- Fluency in the English language
- Extended hours may be needed
- Attention to detail
- Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
