Bilingual Healthcare Collector

Alluvion is hiring for a Bilingual Healthcare Collector located Miramar, FL
Job Summary: Responsible for reviewing patient account open balances, assign/review ICD-9-CM, CPT and HCPCS code to outpatient medical records and handle appeal denials as needed to collect delinquent balance.

Key duties / responsibilities / accountabilities

• Ensure all medical records needed to process appeal for claim are on file
• Prepare patient statements to be mailed out once a month
• Logging to billing queue to assist with patient/ health insurance inquiries
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information according to the Joint commission ( HCHC) and HIPAA standards
• Perform collections calls and follow up on aging accounts.
• Research and resolve delinquent accounts to insure timely collections
• Submit appropriate documentation for adjustments, write offs or bad debt to supervisor.
• Generate collection reports.
• Prioritize accounts to maximize collections.

Non- essential duties

• Enter patient data into the computer accurately and in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively and maintain expected productivity.
• Understand diversity of contracts and responsibility for each.
• Accurately utilize all software applications.
• Other duties as assigned.
