Due to a rapidly growing demand for our services, Marketopia has a WordPress Developer position in our Clearwater office. This individual will work to conceptualize and develop a variety of digital and print marketing deliverables for both our internal use and our clients.
**LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY** **A DIGITAL PORTFOLIO IS HIGHLY PREFERRED**
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and develop websites using WordPress Divi Templates
- Design and implement new features and functionality
- Design webpage layouts
- Employ best practices in web design
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical website issues for clients
- Control quality and verify that all web pages are responsive on popular web browsers, platforms, and devices
- Integrate and update content
- Modify/edit/debug HTML and CSS
- Knowledge of UI/UX
- 2+ years in Graphic/Web-related design
- WordPress experience a MUST
- Concept and develop marketing collateral, inclusive of websites, landing pages, emails, e-newsletters, logos, brand identities, infographics, sell sheets, eBooks, interactive PDFs, PowerPoint presentations, print ads, postcards, and other collateral as needed
SKILLS AND BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- You thrive in a fast-paced/agency environment
- Strong communication skills
- Should be able to deliver ideas and decisions in a professional manner to clients
- A great work ethic with a desire to learn and grow
- Possesses an enthusiastic and energetic attitude towards visual design
- Must be able to work effectively and cross-functionally across all teams and departments
- At least 2 years of experience in the Agency type environment
- At least 1 years of experience using WordPress
- Fundamentals of design imaging, color theory, UI interactions
- Beginner to medium knowledge of typography
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
- JavaScript knowledge preferred but not required
- HubSpot knowledge a plus but not required
- Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite
