Sterile Processing Technician – Elite Body Sculpture – New York, NY

Overview:
As a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT), you will assist surgeons, nurses, and other members of our clinical team by ensuring that our operating room is meeting our sterilization and cleanliness standards. Our ideal SPT is a team player who is passionate about patient care and is able to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Main responsibilities not limited to:
Demonstrating necessary practical, technical and specialized skills required for the role of the certified surgical technician to include ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations (i.e. JCAHO, HIPAA, OSHA)

Preparing the operating room for surgery by checking and gathering supplies, equipment, and instruments

Setting up sterile field correctly, and performing equipment disinfection and sterilization correctly

Cleaning instruments / canister and sterilizing instruments and equipment

Turning over the OR between cases

Preparing procedure room for use the following day

Ensuring the highest level of patient care and patient service is provided at all times

Consistently following policies and procedures to ensure positive patient outcomes

Additional tasks as assigned by the Practice Manager, Director of Nursing, Regional Lead Nurse, or other Leadership Members

Desired Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited school

Minimum of 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably within a cosmetic/plastic surgery practice
