About the Role:

The Practice Manager is responsible for the daily operations of our Medical Practice, including HR management, staff scheduling, administration of work procedures, and upkeep of standards, ensuring patient requests and complaints are satisfied. The Practice Manager will serve as the human resources manager for the Medical Practice and will support the MDs and NPs to optimize daily schedules and workflow, minimize staff shortages, and promote positive client and employee experiences.

This position will supervise the Medical Practice Team, which consists of the “front office” staff (Medical Admin Assistants/Schedulers) and “back office” staff (Nurses and Medical Assistants). The Practice Manager will oversee training new employees, provide training and clinical support to the NPs and the MDs, set clear workplace expectations, direct daily work procedures, manage PTO, evaluate performance, coach employees, and provide coaching, advisory, and disciplinary action when needed.

The Practice Manager will oversee medical operations, such as administering procedures, maintaining medical records, ordering medical equipment and supplies, supporting IT needs, and other administrative tasks as needed, and may be required to cover a position from time to time to maintain adequate coverage during a staff shortage.

The individual in this position must have excellent customer service and people skills, as the position requires daily interaction with both patients and staff. Problem-solving skills are also important to address all complaints and issues within the office. As a manager, this person must always be organized to ensure the steady flow of work daily. Client service, hospitality and teamwork are at heart of this role.

What you’ll do:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

* Supports the physicians, NPs, nurses, medical assistants (MA), and medical administrative assistants (MAA) in the smooth operation of the Medical Practice and in the delivery of service excellence
* Understands and supports each role within the medical practice
* Is fully trained in the responsibilities of the MAA to cover for any unexpected staffing shortages or needs
* Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by management

Our Perfect Candidate

Education and Experience:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Management/Administration required
* Master’s Degree in Medical or Healthcare Management preferred
* Minimum of 3 years’ management or other HR experience required
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an office or other medical setting such as an outpatient practice required
* RN with licensure in state of practice highly preferred
