Financial Analyst – University of California San Francisco – San Francisco, CA

The Financial Analyst uses skills as seasoned, experienced financial service professional with a full understanding of industry practices and organizational policies and procedures. Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Contacts are both internal and external to the department.

Reporting to the CDHI Finance Manager, the Finance analyst is a key member of CDHI Finance team and will be responsible for financial reporting, reconciliations, financial analysis and will be providing key support to the Finance Manager. S/he will serve as the post award analyst for all CDHI domestic and international contracts and grants. The Financial Analyst will work with CDHI’s leadership team and finance manager on a diverse set of financial issues, analyze data and bring forward solutions for consideration and action. S/he collaborates with the CDHI team to understand the nuances of CDHI’s funding, budgeting, and resource allocations, and proactively identifies compliance issues, administrative hurdles and solutions to address them. S/he will need to continuously follow through on multiple requests and demonstrate experience with working in a fast paced environment, which is critical of this role.

Involves developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts for financial planning, resource planning (dollars), and control of organizational budget. May analyze and prepare recommendations for financial plans, including annual resource allocations, future requirements, and operating forecasts.
