The AmeriCorps VISTA in the Piedmont (VIP) program offers a unique approach to AmeriCorps VISTA service, as you will spend 10% of your time each week working collaboratively with 19 other AmeriCorps VISTA members placed in the community to research and implement community-wide solutions focusing on either increasing access to behavioral healthcare or increasing financial stability. Member Duties:
This position is part of the AmeriCorps VISTAs in the Piedmont (VIP) program sponsored by United Way of the Piedmont. As an AmeriCorps VISTA at Middle Tyger Community Center (MTCC), you will implement the Getting Ahead Program, a 14-week program to build financial stability. Develop and grow community partnerships that will enhance the resources for our clients and ensure measurable outcomes with the collection of data. You will build program capacity by acting as the food pantry volunteer facilitator and by performing community engagement tasks in collaboration with the Director of District Five Family Ministries.
