Position Description

The Specialist in the Payroll Group will support members of the Payroll Team. The specialist will assist with day-to-day Payroll tasks and special projects to support the Payroll function. The payroll specialist will have the ability of working on their own tasks along with working in a team environment.

– Assist in semi-monthly payroll processing.

– Assist in investigating payroll inquiries.

– Ensure accurate and timely preparation and delivery of all payroll related data.

– Maintain and review the set up of all New Hires and Employee Changes in the ADP system.

– Ensure accurate and timely preparation and delivery of all payroll related data.

– Assist in the set up of state withholding tax and unemployment tax accounts as needed.

– Special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business, (or 0 – 2 years of payroll experience.)

– Proficient in MS Office, Microsoft Excel; ability to learn systems rapidly.

– Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.

– Proven people skills

– Ability to work well on their own and also in a team environment.

– Able to communicate and willingness to take initiative.

– Very well organized and ability to work under deadlines.

– Understanding of Payroll Processing.

Personal Requirements

– Good English communication skills.

– Sit, Walk, Touch, Speak (Audible and intelligible), Hearing acuity (Normal hearing), Visual acuity (Normal acuity of 6/6 with or without glasses).

– Sedentary work (exerting up to 10 pounds of force).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
