JOB SUMMARY: Lantz Medical is looking to add a dependable team member with strong attention to detail, can work independently, and solve problems. To ensure that our medical products are received and shipped in compliance with written procedures. You will participate in activities necessary to fulfill patient orders for orthotic medical devices.

Duties range from inventory control, equipment assembly, equipment maintenance, and medical-grade cleaning and sanitizing, and quality control. Must be comfortable using Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) to manage the shipping and receiving of time-sensitive medical devices. And will assist in managing the company’s outlook email account to write professional daily communications with our managers, reps., and distributors. Some shipping & receiving experience (FedEx/UPS) is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Models Lantz Medical’s Core Values and Mission Statement. o Comfortable using hands in mechanical and exact situations and has good grip strength. o Comfortable around machinery and tools used in fabrication (larger grinder, band saws, and utility knives, o for the assembly of orthotic medical devices. o Manage the time-sensitive shipping & receiving of medical devices. These duty’s includes – maintaining the receiving log for incoming vendor shipments, verifying information against packing lists, or other provided documentation. Experience in shipping methods and procedures to know
(best routes and rates.) Enter shipment data into the shipping system. Insert devices into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications noted on the shipping document. Performs final quality check of the product and paperwork. Maintain shipping materials and supply inventory. o May use a hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area. o Participates, on an ongoing basis, in traditional learning programs and continuing education. o Other duties as assigned.

E* DUCATION/EXPERIENCE: *
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Experience or training in shipping & receiving preferred.

L* ANGUAGE ABILITY: *
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
