Charm City Optical is a family owned and operated practice that has been a staple in the Pikesville/Baltimore area for almost 20 years now. We pride ourselves on our family values and customer service. Charm City Optical and Eye Care is looking for a full time Optometric Technician. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in an optical and the willingness to learn. Charm City Optical is a private office that offers Optometric, Ophthalmology, and Lab services. Duties will include but are not limited to: pre-screening of patients prior to the OD’s seeing the patients, maintain stock of Optometric supplies like drops and other items used during routine eye exams, and opening and closing of the exam rooms.
Pre-testing will include, NCT (non-contact tonometry), auto-refraction, auto-keratometry, aided and unaided visual acuity, confrontational fields, color, and stereo. Also knowledge of taking a chief complaint, medical and visual history, and history of present illness.
