State Product Manager – CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer – Glendale, AZ

We are actively hiring for a State Product Manager. Join us and support CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, in achieving our goals! We are looking for motivated, innovative individuals, who think big and move fast with a passion for service excellence.

  • Drives profitable growth in assigned state(s) and achieves the annual business plan. Develops and leads strategies, initiatives and people to achieve business goals.

  • Leads team of Product Analysts, Product Specialists and Field Product Consultants to drive profitable growth.

  • Works closely with partners (distributors) to drive product performance in the market.

  • Partner with Product Management and Marketing team to strategize, build and execute product plans and ensures compliance for assigned market(s). This includes reviewing the overall strategy and business plan for associated clubs developed by the team, including helping to define where to compete (customer segments, product mix and geography), how to compete (value proposition vs. competition, pricing and product features) and when to compete (timing of strategic changes).

  • Partners across the organization to ensure alignment of strategies, business understanding and tactics.

  • Oversees product performance for assigned market(s). Reviews trends and takes actions to achieve loss ratio targets. Reviews and monitors all aspects of product performance including close ratio, retention, quality of book of business, clubs, agents and team’s satisfaction with state products, etc.

  • Oversees the competitive benchmarking of products and research for achieving superior product performance. For state responsibilities, demonstrates keen awareness of competitor actions, demographics and regulatory/legislative process. Maintains market-specific competitive intelligence and market trend analyses.

  • Provides coaching and development to direct reports.


What would make us excited about you?

  • 7+ years of related work experience with typically 5+ years being in the personal lines P&C industry preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)

  • Advanced strategic and business acumen

  • Advanced and thorough knowledge of P&C insurance industry and products as well as marketplace, competitive landscape and pricing

  • In-depth product management expertise

  • Advanced knowledge of financial drivers of profitability and proven ability to develop and sustain profitability-based product and marketing strategies

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be, performed in Colorado. If performed in Colorado, this position has a salary range of $123,000-$144,000 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 15% of eligible pay.
