Clinical Director – Lotus Recovery Centers – Comfort, WV

The Clinical Director is the lead clinician in charge of all aspects of client therapy services provided by our client’s facility (both inpatient and outpatient). The Clinic Director monitors clinical performance to ensure treatment services and operations comply with all applicable regulatory and licensing agencies and is responsible for implementing, reviewing and developing clinical protocols, performance objectives, productivity benchmarks and compliance measures. The Clinical Director may also provide direct client services, in addition to his/her duties in administration, as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation and delivery of services by clinical staff and effective operation of the program through development/enhancement of clinical programming that meets the unique needs of the client population with fidelity to established models.
  • Assume therapist duties in the absence of staff and on-call telephone support outside of scheduled hours, as needed.
  • Provide clinical supervision to direct staff by assuring that training and supervision occur.
  • Accurately assess and meet clinical training and supervision needs by using program data and best practices.
  • Foster teamwork and a positive work environment.
  • Prepare and participate in audits, peer reviews, and organizational Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives.
  • Perform case review and diagnosis within scope of license.
  • Oversee clinical record management in the EHR, according to organizational practice; prepare and/or audit reports utilizing electronic clinical documentation system.
  • Provides program marketing and public relations as assigned.
  • Participates in regular meetings with treatment team and/or superiors to discuss the program, opportunities, potential issues and provides performance reporting information.
  • Develops and implements actions plans, as needed, to correct problems or issues identified.
  • Adheres to and ensures facility policies and procedures, including safety/risk, infection control and other guidelines, as required.
  • Support and demonstrate adherence to Lotus Healthcare Groups’ Code of Ethics and Conduct and all personnel policies and procedures
  • Maintain appropriate professional certificates and credentials
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Medical Director and/or the Clinic Program Director

Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • A Master’s Degree in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or related field is required. LISW-S with LICDC or LPCC-S with LICDC accepted.
  • Active State licensure as a CSAC, LMFT, LCSW, LPC, BSW or equivalent. 
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years post-graduate training preferably with emphasis on addictions and co-occurring disorders. A minimum of three years supervisory experience in individual, group, family therapy, and/addictions, and 3 years clinical experience.

  • Ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards
  • Skill in performance of medical and clinical procedures
  • Knowledge of current principles, methods, theories and procedures for optimum delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment expertise
  • Willingness to “roll up one’s sleeves” and embrace the nitty gritty, bottom up task of building an organization and implementing a new model
