UnityPoint Health – Meriter Laboratories are certified by both the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Joint Commission (On behalf of UnityPoint Health – Meriter) and accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
The Inpatient Phlebotomist is responsible for the collection of laboratory specimens from our patients for diagnostic testing. Also responsible for performing proper patient identification and providing an exceptional patient care experience.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma
Basic computer skills
Basic patient identification skills
Preferred Qualifications
Courses in phlebotomy, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, psychology
One year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
