Maintenance Technician II – Facilities Management – Memorial Hospital – North Conway, NH

Position Summary

• Under the direction of the facilities manager, the Maintenance Technician maintains buildings, grounds, equipment and utilities of all departments.
• Performs regular maintenance and service tasks as specified or required by the facility manager such as trash removal, maintaining all grounds this may include snow shoveling, raking, mowing and assisting the facility manager with general plant, building and property maintenance (i.e. plumbing repairs, electrical repairs) and building maintenance as assigned.
• Performs regular maintenance inspection and service tasks as specifically required, such as boilers, HVAC units, and electrical generators and related batteries. Maintain logbooks as required.
• Adheres to the code of conduct as set forth by the organization, which fosters compliance with Federal, State and Local laws and policies and promotes avoidance of activities that may be inconsistent with such laws.
• Provides exceptional service to all internal and external customers, smiling and greeting customers upon contact and responding with respect and caring.
• This is a full time, 40 hour per week position, Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm schedule, with one night of call per week for snow removal and/or emergencies.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• License/Certifications: Boiler Operator Licensure (or willingness to obtain) preferred. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Experience: Knowledge of groundskeeping and general building repairs and maintenance is required. Five years related experience preferred. Advanced skills in HVAC is preferred.
• Effective communication and time management skills.
• Ability to exert up to 20-50lbs of force occasionally or 10-25lbs of force frequently or up to 10lbs of force constantly.
