Healthcare Data Architect

Job Summary

We are looking for a Healthcare Data Architect on behalf of our Healthcare client for a fully remote position. The successful candidate will be a talented professional with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively as well as  build, optimize and maintain conceptual and logical database models.

Primary Responsibilities

• Help to gather data requirements and collaborate with SME’s to develop logical and physical data models.
• Creates and maintains conceptual, logical and physical data models while enabling data catalog & metadata capture.
• Develop data mapping documents for data development teams to use.
• Collaborate with ETL/data services team, application teams to support the development of data solutions.
• Contribute to data reference standards.
• Utilization of experience in the area of data management, modelling, data analysis, and/or reporting.
• Work closely with BA, business and IT teams to clarify and refine functional data requirement specifications. Collaborate closely with business and data subject matter experts to ensure the BI and EDW data model will properly support business needs.
• Enforces data standards in data models.
• Coordinates closely with other members of the team who depend upon the data model.
• Works closely with BAs, Users and Data Stewards to understand business data requirements.

Education and Experience

• Highly proficient in data architecture and conceptual, logical and physical data modeling.
• Solid understanding of the Healthcare business (Healthcare Cost & Care), HC interoperability standards (FHIR, CDA, EDI other HL7 standards) and the underlying data.
• Strong hands-on skills with data modeling tools.
• Proven analytical skills.
• Problem-solving attitude.
• In-depth understanding of database structure principles.
• Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements.
