Maintenance Worker I (Boyd Hill) – City of St. Petersburg – Saint Petersburg, FL

This is unskilled manual and limited semi-skilled work in the mowing, edging, trimming, litter pickup and grounds maintenance. Work includes operating a motor vehicle and using standard hand tools (blowers, edgers, trimmers, etc.) and power equipment to perform tasks of a manual nature and other related work.

Salary: $15.00 – $18.58 Hourly

Minimum Qualifications. Applicants must:

  • Be able to perform minor skilled tasks such as mowing, blowing, edging, and trimming vegetation and the maintenance of grounds.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT

The successful candidate must be either a resident of the City of St. Petersburg as of his or her date of employment or establish primary residency within the city limits of St. Petersburg within six months of completing the probationary period. Furthermore, as long as the successful candidate is employed in this classification, he or she must reside within the city limits of St. Petersburg. This requirement is not applicable to current City employees who were hired before October 20,1997.
