Overview:

The scheduler performs secretarial duties pertinent to the Surgical Services departments. Schedules surgery or procedures with physicians or physician’s offices in a friendly and courteous manner. Prioritizes calls and accurately relays information received to appropriate person. Inputs and reconciles charges for surgery on daily basis.

Qualifications:

• 
  Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Experience:
  
• Certifications: None
• 
  Other: Supplemental courses in typing and medical terminology or broad experience base in medical terminology. Knowledge of business machines required and keyboard.
• 
  Preferred Experience: Experience as a Surgery Scheduler.
