Position Overview
This position is located at our 150,000 sq ft distribution center in Atlanta, Georgia right outside of the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator is responsible for operating material handling equipment for the purpose of locating, moving, stacking, counting and preparing orders along with other general warehouse operation duties.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Perform inventory control and keep quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment; optimize space utilization
- Report any inventory discrepancies
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles/forklifts and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Open to placement in different warehouse roles (receiving, inventory, picking, shipping) to meet business needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Forklift operating experience required
- Order picker forklift operating experience highly desired
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs. (additional weight may be required with assistance).
