Assistant Director, Research Support – Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago – Chicago, IL

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is required.

2. Master’s degree and/or Certified Research Administrator (CRA) preferred.

3. Five to seven years of research administration, preferably in a academic medical center setting.

4. Extensive knowledge of Uniform Guidance, NIH Grant Policy Statement, and other federal regulations required.

5. Knowledge of Grants.gov and other federal systems preferred.

6. Demonstrated leadership skills required.

7. Demonstrated track record in a front-line service-oriented position, involving extensive customer contact and relationship building required.

8. Ability, especially under pressure, to be professional, courteous, and tactful in dealing with investigators, administrative staff and funding agency contacts required.

9. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision and maintain sensitive and confidential information required.

10. Ability to analyze complex situations, identify workable solutions and make appropriate determinations required.

11. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask required.

12. Prioritizing, organizing and assessing work in order to meet aggressive deadlines and cope in fast-paced environment required.

13. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.

14. Capable of working in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team and interacting with all levels of the organization required.
