COMPANY PROFILE: Fulshear
Fulshear is a treatment to transition program for women in their late teens and early twenties (18 to 24.). They use their adult attachment model to treat trauma, substance issues, personality disorders, self-harm behaviors and other challenges. Fulshear guides young women through healing and transitioning until they have achieved healthy independence. Clients begin their treatment journey on a ranch in Needville, Texas and then transition to apartment living in Stafford, Texas, while working on academics and/or career path. WHAT FULSHEAR OFFERS YOU: LVN; full time and part time

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
- Respond to reports of pain or sickness as they arise and assess the client.
- Follow up and assist with scheduling medical appointments, communicate with registered nurse and staff regarding implementation of physician’s orders.
- Collect urine drug screens as needed.
- Check the vital signs and weight of clients monthly and as needed.
- Keep medical and medication records updated in Best Notes and in the clients’ medical folders.
- Work with Omnicare to ensure medications are accurate and available to clients.
- Work with Registered Nurse and clients to accurately arrange medication for home passes and discharges.
- Communicate any pertinent medical information to the Registered Nurse either verbally or in written form.
- Distribute medications at designated times and as needed.
- Administer, read, and record Tuberculosis tests.
- Complete cultural sensitivity training.
- Attend and complete program wide training and compliance training
- Able to walk up and down stairs and lift at least 50lbs.
- Other duties as assigned.
BACKGROUND PROFILE: LVN
- Knowledge of standard medical terminology and technique
- Knowledge of legal charting procedure and requirements.
- Knowledge of medications and of Fulshear’s procedure for medication administration.
- Knowledge of company policies and practices.
- Skill in using nursing tools and equipment (e.g. needles, thermometers, diagnostic tests, stethoscope, blood pressure cuffs, etc.)
- Skill in assessing the physical condition of the client.
- Skill in communicating medical situations accurately to clients, parents and co-workers.
- Ability to use word processing software and to navigate the local network.
- Ability to check vital signs.
Education and Experience:
The position requires a current LVN license, in good standing, and a valid driver’s license. One year nursing experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
