Activities Assistant, Generations Vibrant Life
SUMMARY of Duties
The Activities Assistant, Generations Vibrant Life is responsible for organizing, planning, facilitating and directing the overall operations of the Vibrant Life Department for the Generations/Memory Care in accordance with current standards, guidelines and regulations, company policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Generations Program Director to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each Memory Care resident. This position is designed for communities with a Generations population of thirty-five (35) or more residents. Make recommendations to the Generations Program Director or Generations Program Director with respect to Generations/Memory Care staff evaluations, merit pay increases, reprimands, disciplinary actions and terminations.
The Generations Vibrant Life Assistant is responsible for ensuring safe driving of the communitys van and supervision of the residents during property outings when requested to operate a community van.

Work Experience Qualifications
Prefer experience with elderly and dementia residents
Prefer minimum of two years experience driving a vehicle/van.
For communities licensed for fifty (50) or more persons:
o Must have one (1) year of experience in conducting group activities and be knowledgeable in evaluating residents needs, supervising other employees and in training volunteers.
o Must have at least one (1) year of experience or the education equivalent in working with and meeting the needs of a senior population with Alzheimers/dementia. These requirements may be waived if an exception to this requirement is made by the licensing agency upon the communitys written presentation of a satisfactory alternative plan.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelors degree Preferred, High school education is required
Must be at least 18 years of age
