Daiya Healthcare of Washington is seeking a full-time Optometrist.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform regular rounds on nursing home residents with various eye conditions including, low vision, glaucoma, cataracts, retinopathy, and dry eye syndrome
- Diagnose and treat eyesight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness, and eye diseases, such as glaucoma
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids, as well as medications
- Evaluate patients for the presence of other diseases and conditions, such as diabetes or hypertension, and refer patients to other healthcare providers as needed
- Promote eye and general health by counseling patients
Requirements:
- Active WA State OD License
- Ocular Disease residency completion is preferred
- Experience as an Optometrist
- Experience with the geriatric population is a plus
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with the elderly
- Empathy and patience when dealing with serious diseases
- Up-to-date with latest technologies and treatments in Optometry
