What You’ll Do

  • Duties include working closely with project shareholders to scope, estimate, and provide overall technical leadership to develop and implement software solutions
  • Researches, designs, develops and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software using languages and tools such as C#, HTML5, XML, XSLT, XTML, JavaScript, JSON, JQuery, .NET Core, .NET Framework, TypeScript, Java, PeopleSoft, Visual Studio.NET, and Eclipse
  • Provides maintenance and upgrades to existing systems
  • May have customer and vendor management interfacing responsibility
  • May provide database and other architecture support
  • Ensure implementations are in compliance with software quality assurance and cyber security requirements and adhere to company policies
  • The position requires support for the software quality assurance and software engineering life cycle including conceptual design, requirements definition, functional and computer system design, systems development and programming, implementation, testing, installation, and configuration management associated with enterprise level application software systems

Core Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with functional and business team members, project management, enterprise architects, system engineers, and application developers to design and develop enterprise applications based on approved architecture and business requirements
  • Demonstrates innovation when designing applications architectures and solving complex IT problems
  • Provide expertise and leadership for software solutions including architecture, design, requirements analysis, development, quality assurance and implementation
  • Effectively scope project subtasks into scheduled work units
  • Ensure solutions are well-engineered, operable, and maintainable while also ensuring adherence to defined project management policies, change management guidelines, and quality assurance processes
  • Work with IT project management office to allocate resources and deliver solutions on schedule and within budget
  • Be alert to changes that may affect the security and operational environment of systems
  • Monitor current and future trends in technology to the benefit of organizational project and production systems service goals

Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline OR a Master’s degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline.
Eight or more years of relevant education, training, and/or progressive experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-ofexperience requirements for this posting.

Preferred Job Requirements

  • A high level of technical expertise, leadership and support for the software quality assurance and software engineering life cycle including conceptual design, requirements definition, functional and computer system design, systems development and programming, implementation, testing, installation, and configuration management associated with enterprise level application software systems
  • Programming languages and frameworks – C#, HTML5, XML, XSLT, XTML, JavaScript, JSON, JQuery, .NET Core, .NET Framework, TypeScript
  • Oracle or other relational database management systems with experience in SQL and PL/SQL
  • Database-level programming using stored procedures, functions and triggers
  • Web server technologies such as Microsoft IIS and Apache Tomcat
  • Integrated Development Environments such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, and IntelliJ IDEA
  • Version control tool such as GIT, SVN, TFS, or other code repositories
  • Requires the ability to document business requirements and design technical solutions
  • Effective communication skills and demonstrated success in a team environment
  • Experience with ITIL processes and agile development is preferred
  • Ability to interact with senior leadership and customers to present technical and operational information and proposed solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
