Private Duty Attendant/Provider/C.N.A. – Affordable Health Insurance Agency – McAllen, TX

Immediate Opening to cover a 8 hours shifts Monday through Friday as well as weekends in McAllen.

The appropriate candidates for this job are responsible and reliable individuals for an Provider/Attendant position. Responsibilities include: Assist with ADLs providing personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry and other skilled and other unskilled tasks in the clients home environment. These positions are open to bilingual providers with experience working with someone with dementia. The job is in McAllen and the candidate must be able to pass a background check. It is on a Full-Time or Part-Time basis to fill either day, evening, weekend, or PRN shifts and can pass a background check.

Qualified applicant MUST be have the ability to pass a mandated criminal background check, possess a valid Texas Drivers License and have current motor vehicle insurance.

Preferred qualities include being Bilingual (with the ability to communicate in both English and Spanish); have a high level of patience, empathy and compassion; have strong decision-making skills, and have willingness to learn. Applicants must have previous patient care experience.

Applicants should also be caring, conscientious, punctual, reliable and have outstanding customer service skills. Bilingual communication skills, both written and oral are needed as is the ability to manage their time effectively. A reliable means of transportation is preferred but not required. A professional attitude when providing for client’s needs under any stressful circumstances is imperative.
