Field Service Technicians serve as the on-site agents of Formlabs Services, providing the same great customer experience in person that we provide remotely. They are responsible for traveling to Fuse customer sites to train users on usage of Fuse 1 and Fuse Sift, conduct routine preventative maintenance, as well as perform any break-fix operations that can be done in the field. Agents in this role should have excellent soft skills to be able to interface with customers in person, as well as the technical skills to absorb new information and make decisions in real time. The goal of each break-fix visit should be to completely resolve the issue and return the customer to successful printing in a single visit.

Qualifications


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Troubleshoot Fuse and Sift issues via phone and email for partners and customers
  • Travel to customer locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa to perform preventative maintenance procedures and break-fix measures using own means of transportation (mileage will be reimbursed)
  • Travel up to 100% of time (30-50% average, estimated)
  • Deliver in-person onboarding trainings for Premium Fuse Service customers
  • Submit appropriate documentation for on-site visit tracking
  • Are accountable for maintaining a good customer experience throughout on-sine engagements
  • Schedule preventative maintenance visits
  • Manage supplies of tools and spare parts to ensure preparedness for on-site visits
  • Respond to new or unexpected information while on site and react on the fly to maintain customer experience/maximize odds of single-visit resolution
  • Identify key information gathered from on-site visits to feed back to Sales account owner or CSM to increase LTV of account
  • Maintain connections with Customer Fulfillment, Sales, and Sustaining Engineering to rapidly and flexibly arrive at solutions for customers in short time frames


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years job related experience preferred
