What do our Collections/Credit Professional II do?

Rentokil is currently looking for an experienced collections expert to be a part of our fast-paced Collections Team. The position will be based in our Southeast Market with the ability to work from the office and virtually. The Collections/Credit Professional II will be responsible for the management of collections within an assigned territory. Strong communication and team building skills are required. Candidates who have managed an aging portfolio value starting from $1.5mm preferred. The candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years collection experience, as well as exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge of fair debt collection.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to work any shift between 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
  • Ability to coach and mentor new colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently with daily tasks, and be able to set priorities with little supervision.
  • Must display critical thinking skills with the ability to ‘think outside the box’ when identifying overdue or problem accounts.
  • Contacting customers daily in an effort to collect delinquent balances.
  • Documenting collection activity and maintaining follow up on all past due accounts.
  • Responding to customer AR calls with regard to account inquiries.
  • Residential collection specialist with the ability to maintain good customer relations.
  • Maintaining a department organizational structure sufficient to meeting all goals and objectives.
  • Providing documentation to customers requesting invoices, statements, etc.
  • Working effectively as a team with various departments
  • Business professional with excellent and effective communication skills.
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience with or the ability to learn /adapt to debt collection software.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Support team initiatives as defined by management.
  • Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills


What do you need?

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
  • Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state and local regulations
  • Must pass pre-employment background screen and drug test
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass motor vehicle record search
