Journeyman Carpenter – Peak Builders – Jackson, WY

Peak Builders is looking for Journeymen & Apprentice Carpenters to join our team. For nearly 30 years, Peak Builders has been constructing some of the most notable high-end residences in the Jackson Hole area, featured in publications such as Architectural Digest, and has won awards such as Best of Jackson Hole – Gold – Best Builder / Carpenter. Peak Builders is a boutique general contractor, taking on a select few projects at a time, and self-performing much of the construction process to ensure our impeccable standards for craft and quality which our clients hire us for, are met.

We are looking for carpenters who share our relentless commitment to quality craftsmanship, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to work as team player on a professional crew.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Framing and finishing of exterior walls, floors, and roofs

· Framing and finishing of interior walls, millwork, doors, stairs, and trim

· Taking personal responsibility for completion of tasks and responsibilities delegated by superintendents, senior carpenters, and project managers

· Directing, supervising, and mentoring apprentice-level carpenters and construction laborers

· Delivering beautiful work on time and within budget

· Assisting superintendent / project manager with material take-offs and ordering

Ideal applicants will have:

· Experience as a carpenter, experience on high-end residential projects a plus

· Owns personal tools needed for the trade

· Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with job superintendent, project managers, and other team members.

· Ability to take positive critical feedback and take personal responsibility for completion of delegated tasks

· Maintain a cool head, effective communication, and positive problem solving attitude under pressure

· Ability to read and interpret plans and insure all work meets Peak Builder’s standards and the Architect / Engineer’s design drawings and specifications

· Bilingual English and Spanish speakers a plus

· Crane and forklift certification a plus
