Front Office Assistant – Reliable Health Services, Inc. – Durham, NC

Reliable Health Services provides mental health and substance abuse services and strives to treat the whole patient. We are looking for an Office Assistant to join our front office team. The Office Assistant will help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the Reliable Health Services medical office. The ideal candidate will be energetic, hard-working and able to undertake a variety of office support tasks. In a busy office clinic the team player will work well under pressure and be comfortable working with an attention to detail and offering ideas for effective ways to achieve better results.

Responsibilities

  • Organize office and assist office staff in ways that optimize procedures
  • Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner
  • Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
  • Schedule and plan meetings and appointments
  • Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages
  • Resolve office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies
  • Maintain trusting relationships with patients, outside clinics and colleagues
  • Perform receptionist duties when needed
  • Answer and direct calls

Skills

  • Knowledge of “back-office” computer systems (EMR software)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical abilities and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 – $13.00 per hour

  • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
